"I'm sure that, with time, you'll be able to move on," Julie said, kind of amused at how seriously they were taking the destruction of their sandcastle by mother nature. She didn't really get what would've been so much fun about destroying a sandcastle, anyways.

"Oh don't make fun of us," Christine replied irriatbly. "You're just...you're just a jerk."

Nice insult Christine.

"Nice insult, Christine," Julie replied.

"Oh just shut up Julie," Christine retorted.

She didn't feel like being angry anymore. Now she felt like being annoying.

"So," she said. "Got anymore secrets I can tell Daddy?"

Julie glared. She had already "punished" Christine for telling on her a while ago (she beat her up) but that didn't mean she wasn't okay with it now. (Although it had kinda made things easier, in a way.)

"Yeah," she replied coolly. "Good luck finding them out, though."

"Well I didn't find out about my little neice or nephew," Christine replied. "With you telling me." She grinned almost evily. "I always have ways of finding out things."

Yeah, well, Julie was a lot more careful now about where she chose to talk about important, secretive things. She now knew that excluded anywhere remotely near her house.

"Whatever," Julie replied. "You actually did me a favor by telling Dad. You made it so I didn't have to."

Maybe it would irritate Christine that, purposefully or not, she had actually kind of done something good for her older sister.

"Ha," Christine couldn't help but laugh out loud. "It didn't seem that way when he was yelling at you."

"He would've found out eventually whether you told him or not," Julie replied coolly. "I was going to tell him...sometime. But you saved me the trouble."

"Oh whatever," Christine replied, slightly annoyed. "Well at least I'm his favorite daughter now."

"Ha!" Julie laughed. "Yeah right. In a month or two, who do you think is going to be getting more attention, Christine? You or me?"

Honestly Julie didn't want to get attention for something like this, but she knew that Christine thrived on attention and it would be torture for her to have to sit there and watch Julie get all of it.

Christine knew Julie was right, she was probably going to hate this baby once it was born. She'd just have to find other ways for attention. Maybe she could run away or something.

"Whatever Julie," she replied. "Just shut your fat pregnant face."

"You know I'm riiiight," Julie singsonged. This was good, now she knew exactly how to get back at Christine. And she didn't even have to really do anything. Maybe there was an upside to this, after all.

Christine stood up and kicked sand all over Julie. (But it didn't get into her eyes because I know how badly that hurts.) "I said shut up!" she yelled.

Julie calmly brushed herself off. "I heard you," she replied calmly. "And I choose to ignore you."

She stood up and looked down at Christine, who was a good three inches shorter than her.

Christine glared up at her sister, not backing down. Sure, Julie could really beat the shit out of her, a lot, but she was a very brave girl. Stubborn too, she never backs down.

"You gonna hit me?" she asked.
