get outta there

Mewbry and Quinn were out on their first date after the accident. He still had a broken arm, but his ribs had healed so it didn't hurt to walk or breathe anymore.

Mewbry was eating spaghetti, and listening to Quinn talk about something, when she noticed a familiar blond girl walk out of the bathroom and sit at a booth nearby.

"Maliah!" Mewbry squealed. She got up quickly, not offering an explanation to Quinn, and ran over to where her sister sat.

Now that LQuinn's only remaining injury was a broken arm, life had been getting better. He wasn't in constant pain, and he could walk around and leave the house. A major improvement. The one thing he could do without was Christine writing/drawing stupid things on his cast with permanent marker. He couldn't wait to get the damn thing off. Anywho...

"...so Keegan told me something really insane the other day--" Lil Quinn had been saying when all of the suddenly Mewbry seemed to perk up and look at something behind him. The next thing he knew, she had squealed out something and jumped up and ran off.

...Okay then...He just kinda sat there for a second, like...'wtf.'

Maliah hadn't seen her siblings in a long time. So it was weird when she heard her younger sister, Mewbry, squeal her name.

Maliah turned just in time to recieve a huge hug from her triplet. 'Er, hi Mew," she greeted. It wasn't that she didn't like her sister, she just wasn't all that fond of really hyper clio and her sister just happened to be one.

'How are you?" Mewbry chirped, finally pulling away from a stunned Maliah. She hadn't seen her sister in forever! She was so happy!

"I've missed you so much! How is mom?"

Leetle Quinn still just kinda sat there, because he didn't want to get up and have to go talk to Mewbry's friend because he's afraid of people, or hates them, or something, so he just continued to sit there waiting, thinking, Okay, Mewbry, you can remember I'm here any day now...

Typical Mewbry, asking thousands of questions all at once. "We're fine, Mewbry. I missed you too," she said with a roll of her eyes. She decided not to ask any questions. Mewbry would do that for her, or even better, maybe she'd go away.

"Why're you here alone, Maliah?" Mewbry asked, noticing that she was sitting alone. "You should come sit with me and Quinn!" she said excitedly, without waiting for an answer.

Then she remembered that Quinn was alone. "Quinn!" she exclaimed, turning around to face him. "Come meet my sister, Maliah!"

Oh she was so happy! Two of her favorite clio were together! :3

As much as LQ didn't want to meet Mewbry's sister, he loved Mewbry too much to not do something that seemed like it would, for some reason, make her really happy. So he resignedly stood up and walked over to them.

"Um, hi," he said, shyly of course, to Mewbry's sister Maliah.

'Hi, Quinn," Maliah said monotonously. Gosh she wanted them to leave. "I'm here alone because I enjoy being alone."

"Nonesense," Mewbry said, grabbing Maliah's arm. "I have so much to tell you about!" she said as the three walked back to their table.

LQ could feel Maliah's pain. Of course, he himself could never get enough of Mewbry, but he could tell Maliah wanted to be alone right now. He could easily sympathize with that feeling. "Mewbry, maybe we shouldn't bother your sister..." he suggested tentatively.

"Yeah, listen to the boy," she said, turning back to her drink. She picked it up and drank it.

She turned back to look at them. "What, you aren't gone yet?" she asked.

Mewbry frowned. Then when her sister started ignoring her she got sad. "B-but I haven't seen you in a long time..." she said quietly.

Quinn frowned too, when he saw that Mewbry was sad. He was also kind of frowning at Maliah's reference to him as "the boy." She wasn't shy, like he was, she was just bitchy. "Actually, you know, I wouldn't mind getting to know my girlfriend's sister," he said, hoping it would make Mewbry happy. Even though he totally didn't want to get to know Mailiah at all. She seemed mean.

"Well, I'm not so sure I'd like to get to know my sister's boyfriend," Maliah said, agitatedly. She turned back to her lemonade. "Mew, why don't you come over next weekend? I'm not sure I feel up to talking right now," she added in a softer voice.

She would make sure she was doing something the day she came over. Mewbry could just hang out with their mom, Martha.

Mewbry was happy when Quinn said he wanted to get to know Maliah, but then Maliah said she didn't want to get to know Quinn.

"Why not, Maliah?" she asked. "Quinn's really nice, you'll like him!"

Quinn, on the other hand, got kind of mad when Maliah all rudely said she didn't want to get to know him. "Well you know, I really don't want to get to know you either," he said irritably. "But your sister wants to talk to you, don't you think you could spare a few minutes of your precious time?"

"Not right now, Quinn," she said just as irritably. "I told her to come over this weekend, I'll have much more time then."

Mewbry pouted her lips, not in a whining way, but more of in a thinking way.

"Okay, bye love you," she finally said, grabbing Quinn's hand and turning to go back to the table.

"What? But--" Quinnlet asked when she pulled him back to their table. Mewbry was just gonna give up? "Mewbry, I think she's lying, I don't think she'll talk to you this weekend..." He said, feeling bad for her. He didn't really get why Mewbry wanted to talk to her mean sister so much, but he also didn't get why her mean sister wouldn't just humor her.

"Don't be silly, Quinn," Mewbry said, returning to her spaghetti. "I'll just go visit her this weekend. Maybe Mason can come too!" she added happily. "It'll be just like old times, when we all lived together..."

Mewbry missed those days, when they could all play together. She loved her family, but once Maliah had become Overloridian, they all sorta had to split up. She was glad she still got to live with Mason though. :3

"Oh...well okay..." Lill Quinn said doubtfully. He had a strong feeling Maliah would just blow Mewbry off, and he didn't really want her to get her hopes up, but he also didn't want to make her feel bad now. He looked over at Maliah who was off being bitchy at an empty table. Maybe he was being kind of hypocritical, though, there were a lot of times when he didn't want to hang out with his family. He just wanted Mewbry to be happy though...

Mewbry looked over at Quinn. "I love you," she said with a smile. She understood what Quinn was trying to do, and even though she knew he was wrong, she still loved him for it.

She reached under the table and set her hand on his knee.

Lil Quinn looked up at her. "I love you too," he told her. Because he did love her. He put his hand on hers.

...And...uh...the rest of their date was very pleasant...and stuff...yeah...
