The other day, two very significant things had happened to Seeley. First, she met her biological father. And it had been scary. Seeley didn't scare easily, but that man was scary, and the fact that he seemed to have some sort of familial interest in her was even scarier. But he was chained up in prison, she reasoned, it's not like he could do anything...But the memory of a haunting voice occasionally reminded her, they've been known to get out.

So why was she back at Nabakza, then? Certainly not to visit her crazy father. No...In fact, she must've been insane to return to that prison, especially alone, but there was something drawing her there. Someone she couldn't resist seeing again after she saw him last. It was Katsa's innocent brother, Ian. Before she hadn't seen him since he'd been arrested, because her parents wouldn't allow her to go to the prison (she had to lie about where she was).

So a few days ago she had seen him for the first time in two and a half years. Strangely, she had been so happy to see him again, and so terribly sad at where she was seeing him and why he was there. It just wasn't fair. It was beyond unfair. The level of unfairness was so high, when Seeley thought about it it felt like she would explode.

So she wanted to see him again. The poor guy must be so lonely. Katsa and Rhint visited him as much as possible, but there was no way they could go every day. So here was Seeley, walking to his cell (taking care to avoid Rene's cell) She was lead there by a guard who left when she, well, made him leave.

"Ian...?" she said, pressing her face up to the bars. He was facing away.

Ian was feeling particulary lonely today. Usually he was fine, because he was so use to being lonely. Of course, he didn't feel lonely when his sister or brother came to visit, and even after they left, he felt fine. But today, it was different. He couldn't understand why either, and he had been feeling this way, ever since his sister and her friend Seeley came to visit a couple of days ago.

He paced his cell, thinking and running his dirty hands through his hair, causing his usual blond hair to be dirty. It'll be blond again, he told himself, the next time they feel like blasting water at him. He laughed bitterly at that thought. He stopped pacing and sat on his wooden bench, facing away from his cell bars. Everything about his cell, had nothing to do with metal, because he was in Dian.

Seeley wrote:

"Ian...?"

Ian looked up from the dirty cell floor, and at the dirty cell wall. He turned around and smiled, "Hey there Seeley." He stood up and walked over to the cell bars, which were made out of something that wasn't metal, whatever that could be. "What're--what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you," Seeley replied honestly. She smiled, not because she was happy, but because Ian looked like he needed somebody to smile at him. On the inside it was really hard to see him like this. Maybe that was another reason she hadn't visited in so long before the last time. "I didn't feel like we got to catch up very much last time...You know, you were catching up with Katsa, and I was kinda distracted by...you know."

She looked down at the dirty floor, but then forced herself to look back up at Ian's dirty face. "I wanted to talk to you one on one..." And give him some much needed friendly company.

Ian smiled again, "I'm glad you came back." He smiled faded though when he remebered what Seeley was distracted by during their last visit, "You avoided his cell right?"

"Of course," Seeley replied, frowning. What, did he think she was stupid? "Don't worry about me, okay? You should focus on yourself." She reached into her purse and pulled out a sub sandwich wrapped in plastic (she wasn't allowed to bring in tinfoil.) "I brought this for you. You look like you haven't eaten in forever."

Ian quickly took the sub out of Seeley's hands, and shamelessly devoured it. She was right, he hadn't eaten in forever. When he was finished, he crumpled up the plastic, threw it over his shoulder, and wiped the crumbs off of his mouth. "Thank you," he breathed. "That was delicious."

"There's no reason to focus on myself," He sighed sadly. "It's not like I have a great future to look forward to," He said bluntly.

Seeley didn't care that he had shamefully devoured his food. She couldn't blame him, he looked so thin and underfed. Besides, it's not like she was Ms. Manners, if you remember the rp in Casa Nova's she was in.

Seeley looked at him with big, sad eyes. "You never know," she said in a small voice, trying to offer him some hope. "Someday they might catch the guy who really did it."

Ian let out a sarcastic laugh and said with bitterness, "Yeah, and my parents will accept me and my siblings." He looked back at Seeley, with those sad pretty big eyes of hers. "I'm sorry," he mumbled. "I shouldn't be in such a bad mood, you're here to visit." He smiled sadly at her.

Seeley reached through the bars and took one of Ian's hands in both of hers loosely. He had strong, rough hands. "I don't mind if you're in a bad mood," she told him gently. "I just...I...I like seeing you. I like talking to you." She couldn't believe she had missed over two years of seeing and talking to him. "I always missed you."

Ian looked down at Seeley's hands with a soft look in his eyes, and he wore a small smile on his lips. He looked up and reached out of his cell and set the hand that she wasn't holding on her cheek. He started to stroke it with his thumb. "I'm glad you like seeing me," he said quietly. "And when you came to visit the other day with Katsa, I felt so happy that you came." Truth be told, Ian had missed Seeley a lot too. When he wasn't in prison they had gotten along so well, he thought she might have forgotten him. "I've always missed you too."

Seeley leaned forward until her face was pressed up against the bars. It was as close as she could get, with this damn cell in between them. She longed to get closer. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner," she mumbled sadly.

"You don't need to apologize," Ian replied back, his voice also a mumble. "You're here now aren't you?" He started to lean in closer very slowly, and stopped when their noses were practically touching. "I just need to know that you still think of me." Then he closed the last bit of space between them, and their lips met.

Seeley closed her eyes slowly and began to kiss him back. She had always wanted to do this when she was younger. Of course back then she had never imagined her first kiss with Ian being in a prison, with cold bars in between them, preventing them from getting as close as they wanted.

When they pulled away, she gazed at him intently. "Well now I'm never gonna be able to stop thinking of you," she breathed, smiling a little.

Ian smiled, "Good, because if you did, I would be very sad." He reached out and tucked some hair behind Seeley's ear. "I've always liked you...you know." He laughed.

"I've always liked you too," Seeley replied, ignoring the shouts of nearby prisoners to 'come to their cells and do that with them too.' "But I think I've only just remembered how much." She laughed a little, looking giddy. "I wonder what my parents'll say when they find out who my new boyfriend is." (Who knows, they might actually be happy at the fact that Seeley was showing interest in someone other than Katsa. xD)

"Do you think they'd be unhappy that you're dating a criminal?" Ian asked. "I'm really glad you came today," he said. "I just wish I could see you everyday, without being behind these bars."

Just then, that haunting voice came back into Seeley's head. They've been known to get out. And rather than give Seeley the creeps, like it usually did, it gave her an idea. "You know, I've heard that this prison is pretty lax when it comes to security," she said nonchalantly, as if they were chatting about the weather. "Zat true?"

"I guess it is true," Ian replied. "The guards they hire here are usually nothing but old bodyguards who've passed their prime. There's always at least one attempted breakout every week. They usually get out of their cells easily, but it's leaving the actual prison that gets them."

"Well, I'm sure if they had some outside help they could do it," Seeley said with a convincing shrug. "Anyways...you want me to bring you some more food tomorrow?"

Ian nodded eagerly, "That would be great, and could you bring me some water? The only water I get to drink is the toilet water." He nodded towards the small little rusty toilet.

Seeley made a disgusted face. "Please tell me you aren't serious?" she pleaded, even though she was pretty sure he was. Not only was that horribly sad, but she had also just kissed him. But of course she was mostly sad for him and not thinking about herself! Mostly.

Well, Ian was serious, but saw the look on Seeley's face, and realized that he just kissed her with his toilet water mouth. He wanted to blush, but he was able to stop himself, "I'm not serious." He grinned, "Just wanted to see what you'd say."

Seeley managed a small smile. "Awww, you're lying to make me feel better," she cooed. She put her hands on the sides of his face. "You're stuck in prison for something you didn't do, and you don't even get decent food or water, and you're trying to make me feel better." Her smile suddenly vanished. "What's wrong with me!? I'm supposed to be making you feel better!"

Ian laughed, "Calm down Seeley it's okay." He smiled, "I'm okay." Sort of. But who would be okay? Being in prison for the rest of your life, for something you didn't even do. That would make anybodies day a bad one.

Seeley was still holding onto Ian's face, and she pulled him close so that they were an inch apart again. But instead of kissing him, she whispered, "I'll get you out of here, Ian. I swear it." She moved back a few inches and stared at him intensely.
