Smells like stir fry

So. Dahlin. The main city in Amelia. That's where Gage was. Walking around. Being bored. He had actually planned on breaking up with Lily today or something, but since she's never online he couldn't very well do that. So instead he went to Dahlin out of boredom. Maybe he'd run into someone he knew here. Just maybe.

Keegan was out running errands today for the family. Usually he didn't really like doing this, but now a days he didn't mind because this was the only way he could actually get out of the house. He had to pick up groceries and garden mulch for his weird father.

He was just walking out of the gardening store when he almost ran into a very familar face. The same face that made him end up having to do all this shit. Gage.

"Too bad I didn't run into you," he snapped.

Gage blinked in surprise when some random guy almost ran into him and then snapped at him angrily. Oh wait...that wasn't some random guy. It was Keegan. That explained the anger.

"Oh...hey Keeg," he greeted, as if they were buddies. He sighed melodramatically. "Look, I know I got you in trouble. But to be fair, you were trying to make me look bad first. So we're even, right? No hard feelings."

He patted Keegan on the shoulder in a "friendly" gesture, even though he was really just making fun of him.

Keegan pulled away from his hand. What did his little sister see in this guy?

"I'm not changing my mind about you," he randomly said, mostly because Brenna couldn't think of anything else he could say. "I still think you were just using my little sister." He smirking slightly, (he didn't know that their parents made an agreement that Christine could see Gage yet). "But at least you can't see her anymore."

Gage also didn't know they'd made that agreement, but he also didn't know Christine had been caught drunk in the first place. Keegan's words momentarily wiped the smirk off his face, but he quickly recovered and the sardonic smile reappeared on his face.

"Why? Because I'm not allowed?" he asked mockingly. He shook his head and laughed softly. "Keegan, Keegan, Keegan. There's something you should know. I do what I want...whether I'm allowed to or not. And Christine's the same way. You got that?"

"Well I don't know," Keegan replied, feeling evil. "The way Christine was talking about you yesterday...didn't sound like she wanted to see you anymore."

Of course that was a lie, but Gage didn't know that. >:]

Gage didn't let himself falter a second time. He just narrowed his eyes slightly. "What are you talking about?" he inquired skeptically.

"Oh, she was just saying how you ruined her life," Keegan told him casually. "You get her drunk and then our parents hate her, you made her pretty upset Gage." He patted Gage's shoulder. "I'm sorry man, but I think she's over you."

Gage shoved Keegan away from him as if he hadn't been doing the exact same thing five minutes ago. Was Keegan telling the truth? Was she really mad at him? She had asked him to take her drinking. What was he supposed to do? Say no?

He frowned at Keegan. "Why should I believe you?" he asked, trying to hide his doubt.

"If my sister still wanted to hang out with you," Keegan replied. "I wouldn't have said anything at all." He smiled sarcasticly. "But since she doesn't want to see you anymore of course I'd jump at the opportunity to tell you the news!"

"That still doesn't give me a reason to believe you," Gage replied, resolving to just ask Christine herself the next time he saw her. Why hadn't he just thought of that in the first place? "You know, I don't get why you hate me so much. I mean, I know I was a total asshole to you at that party, which I don't regret by the way, but you hated me before I'd even done anything to you." He didn't care that Keegan hated him, it was just a little annoying right now, you know?

"It's becuase I've heard about you," Keegan replied casually. "And about all the things you do, and I don't want you taking advantage of my little sister, or hurting her."

Gage rolled his eyes. "You've heard about me, huh?" he asked sardonically. "D'you believe everything you hear, Keegan? Or do you ever actually try to form your own opinions about people?"

Of course everything Keegan had heard probably was true, it wasn't like Gage was going to do anything bad to Christine. He really, really cared about her. But no one believed him just because he'd cheated on a few girlfriends in the past. (<--understatement) It was really fucking irritating.

"You mean to tell me that all the rumors about your aren't true?" Keegan asked him. "Then please, tell me the truth."

Gage was fed up. "You want to know the truth?!" he demanded. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH! "Fine. I'm in love with Christine." He'd known it for a while now, but this was the first time he'd ever said it out loud. "And I don't care if you believe me or not, because I'm pretty sure...I'm pretty sure that she loves me, too."

In the past Gage had kind of thought love didn't exist, or that it only existed for losers like Keiran. Well, apparently Gage was a loser now too, because he had fallen for someone. Hard. And he wasn't afraid to admit it...at least not to Keegan, who wouldn't believe him anyways.

Keegan could help but raise his eyebrows at that statement. He was in love with his little sister? He wasn't sure if he should believe him, but at the same time, guys like Gage didn't usually tell people that they're in love with somebody.

"If that's the case," he replied. "You better not hurt her."

"I don't plan to," Gage replied coolly, his voice thick with irritation. "I want her to be happy." God, why was this guy so fucking protective? Gage didn't care if his sisters wanted to date or get drunk or whatever, they could do whatever they wanted for all he cared. Keegan was such a freak.

"Yeah, so do I," Keegan replied, narrowing his eyes. "I have to go now, I need to buy food for my family."

With a bag of mulch on his shoulder, he came turned down an alleyway where there were many different places to buy food and stuff. (Kind of like a farmers market! )
