IF I WAS AN APE I WOULD EAT BANANAS (but i'm not, so babies will do)

Kaiden was walking through Dahlin, probably looking for something small to steal. He never stole very expensive things, but he liked the thrill of taking something little and insignificant. Of course, his parents were pretty wealthy so he didn't really need to steal anything, but whatever.

As he was walking down the street he noticed a baby store. There was a big, pretty, white crib in the front window display, surrounded by stuffed animals and rattles and such. Looking around him quickly to make sure no one he knew was there, he walked over to the window and looked through it more carefully.

All along the white frame of the crib were little animals. It was the perfect thing for a little baby... What the fuck was he thinking? He didn't need to buy a crib for the baby, he would help support her, but he didn't need to go buying it things.

And yet... he kept looking through that window. At the stuffed bears and bunnies, and the other stuff that babies love. He was walking along the window, not paying attention, when he ran into some poor fire crotch who had also been looking in the window.

"Sorry, man," he said, before actually looking the guy in the face. Then he realized it was Keiran, Julie's boyfriend.

Keiran was struggling so much with himself lately. He wanted to be Julie's babies step father, wanted it badly, but he was so afraid. This baby wasn't his own flesh and blood, it was Kaiden's. What if he couldn't be a good father? What if he couldn't do it? What if the baby didn't love him like he would love it. And why, even if he couldn't be a step father to this baby, why would he love it no matter what? He couldn't understand. Maybe he was just a very loving person.

While walking along the sidewalk, with all those thoughts jumbling around his head, driving him crazy, he happened upon a baby store. He looked through the window, (look through this window) and saw a beautiful crib. He stared at it, and imiganined himself, being a step father, and rocking the crib slowly while the baby slept. His thoughts were intorupted when somebody walked into him.

Kaiden wrote:

He was about to say that it was alright, but then he realized who it was.

For a second, Kaiden wasn't sure how to proceed with this surprise-meeting. His first instinct was to leave, but then he realized something. This creep had been looking into a baby store. Why the fuck would Keiran be looking through a window at a beautiful crib? He was trying to steal his fucking baby, that's why.

"So," he said icily, "what're you doing here?" He didn't even bother with the nice crap of introducing himself. The fire crotch probably already knew who he was.

"I was just shopping," Keiran replied calmly.

He could tell Kaiden didn't like him. But he didn't care, Keiran didn't get bothered by people being negative towards him. He himself didn't like Kaiden, but he didn't dislike Kaiden either.

"Well you can go shop somewhere else," he said, turning back to the window. "I can get the baby what it needs, you aren't needed."

"You actually care about it?" Keiran asked him.

He usually wasn't one to be rude, but he was just really surprised.

"I don't need to care about it to buy it things," he snapped, still looking through the window.

Yeah right.

"Then why do you want to buy it things?" Keiran asked him.

"Because I can," he said, still not looking at Keiran. "And it is my baby," he said, "that means no matter how much you want it to be yours, you can't have it."

"I wasn't going to steal it from you Kaiden," Keiran replied. "Whether you want it or not, it'll always have your blood in it's veins, not mine..."

And that's what makes Keiran so scared.

Well. As long as he knew that, Kaiden didn't really have a problem with him.

"Well... good," he said.

"Yeah," Keiran replied sadly. "I guess it is good."

He didn't like looking at the baby crib anymore, he didn't like being in front of the baby store anymore. He didn't like talking to the babies father anymore.

"I--I need to go," he mumbled.

(But he wont go because if he did this would make for a boring and short RP.)

"What, so you can go cry about me being the dad?" he said nonchalantly. He decided to buy one of the cute bears with a heart on it's tummy for the baby. "How do you think Julie will like that one?" he asked Keiran, pointing to the bear.

It's too bad Keiran was too polite and passive agressive to punch Kaiden in the face, but he was. So instead he chose to ignore what Kaiden had just said and looked at the bear.

"She might," he replied. "Or she might like that kitten."

He still really wanted to leave, but Kaiden kept talking to him.

Kaiden scowled to himself, but Keiran couldn't see. Mentally he decided to buy both, just to be sure.

"So, have you had sex with her yet?" he asked, glancing over his shoulder at Keiran, and then returning his eyes back to the display in the window.

Yes, I had sex with her, and it was the most amazing night of my life.

Keiran wasn't going to tell him that though, instead he said, "I don't think that's any of your concern Kaiden."

"Well, I just thought if you hadn't, I could tell you what it was like. You know," he said casually, "how it feels to have her body under yours."

"Why would you disrespect her like that?" Keiran asked him.

He looked at Kaiden with disgust. What was wrong with this kid?

Would that be disrespecting her? Kaiden wasn't so good at this 'respect' thing, he had never respected anyone before.

"So," he said, pretending he hadn't heard that, "have you?"

"I told you," Keiran replied. "That's none of your concern."

"Whatever," Kaiden said. "I think I'm going to get her her stuffed animal now."

And with that, he walked into the shop, leaving Keiran standing outside, looking into the window as he had been.

Keiran turned and left, he didn't like Kaiden now.
