He plays with your miiiiiiiiiiiiind

Let's just say that this rp takes place the day before Julie's brother got beat half to death, because otherwise she wouldn't be out at Casa Nova's.

ANYWHO, Julie was at Casa Nova's. I'm not entirely sure why, because Casa Nova's is a coffee shop and she can't have caffeine...It just seemed like a good place for an rp with Leif. Instead of ordering a caffeinated beverage she got a giant cookie and some cocoa (even though it was really hot out) and went and sat at an empty table, ignoring the disproving stares of some of the older clio. She was just going to have a nice time in Casa Nova's today.

Leif walked into Casa Nova's, in his full attire of a t-shirt, some loose-fitting jeans and a daemon. [what? daemon? they still exist?] He ordered some yummy sammich and an Amelia version of a Pepsi. As he got his food, he turned around to sit down and noticed the girl he met on Annerb. Julie!

"Hey," he said as he walked over to her. "Julie, right?" He was smiling pretty big. She was a cool girl.

Julie looked up in surprise when someone with a vaguely familiar voice said her name. It was Leif! Her new friend that she had met in Annerb! "Leif!" she exclaimed, a smile appearing on her face. "It's so nice to see you!" She used her foot to push out the chair across from her. "Would you like a seat?"

Leif nodded, taking a seat. "Thanks. And yeah, I know, it's great! I love new friends," he said, taking a look at the food in front of him. Mm. He took a side-sip from his cup and grabbed half of the sandwich, holding it up to his mouth, but not quite eating it yet. He looked to Julie.

"So how's everything?" he asked, finally taking a bite and making some "mm" sounds. "Yer look gud," he said, some sammich still in his mouth.

"Thank yew," Julie replied with a :3 face. Then she went on to answer his question. "I'm good, everything's good. Lots of exciting things are happening." She blew on her cocoa and took a sip of it. Yum.

Leif swallowed and looked excited for her. "Good to know!" he said. He was pretty hyper right now, he probably didn't need this extra energy. "I'm glad everything's going well. I think I'm moving to Annerb soon. Talked to the 'rents about it and everything." He took another sip of his pop and nommed some more.

"That's great," Julie replied, grinning. "Ha ha, maybe you can give me some tips. I need to tell my parents that I'm moving out soon, too." That was one of the exciting things happening to her. She was finally going to move out and get a place of her own! Well, her own and Keiran's. And Quill's/Emmeline's. But that made it even better. She felt like her life was really moving forward in a positive direction.

Leif smiled hugely, some crummies falling out of his mouth as he did so. He closed his mouth and cleaned up the crumbs, setting his sandwich down. He swallowed his food and giggled a little at the incident. Or laughed. Or whatever boys do.

He looked at her. "That's awesome that you're moving out," he said, "but you'll probably tell your parents differently than I told mine."

"I kinda don't know how to tell them," Julie replied honestly. (The last time she told her dad she wanted to move out he started coughing up blood. That wasn't a fun experience.) She sighed. "I guess I'll just come right out and say it, explain my reasoning, and hope for the best."

Leif nodded. "That sounds good. I just kinda slipped it in at the end of a sentence. They noticed right away and seemed kinda sad, but they understood. They were sorta...out of it, but it went well. You can only hope for the best." He took another bite of his sandwich...it was going pretty quickly. He was hungry.

"I mean, there's not much stopping you. It's more emotional stuff that you have to go through," he said, then he noticed that he had no idea who he was talking about and she could very well have to deal with physical stuff stopping her too. "I'm assuming."

"Yeah, I mean, there's really nothing stopping me from moving out," Julie agreed, nodding. "I mean, I know my parents will be sad, but that's not gonna stop me. It's just gonna...make me take a really long time to gather up the courage to tell them," she finished, saying the last part very fast. She smiled behind her giant cookie before taking a bite out of it.

"Agreed," he said, "it's gotta happen someday, right?" He took a sip of his drink before continuing. "I feel sort of bad taking my sister with me, since she's not very old and she's already moving out, but my parents don't do half as much as I do to take care of her...so it probably won't be much of a change, actually." He was more talking out loud than talking to her, and he hoped she didn't mind.

"I think it's sweet of you to take care of your sister like that," Julie told him. She loved her six year old siblings, but she would never wanna take them with her when she moved out. xD Of course she'd be taking care of her baby once she moved out, but that was different.

"Thanks," he said, looking at her seriously and sincerely. He really liked that someone appreciated it. Skye was too young to really appreciate it and his parents were always too stoned to realize that it was even happening. "It's kinda why I've been going out so much on my own lately. 'Cause I'm gonna have to take her everywhere once we move. Not that I mind, but...everybody likes their alone-time, you know?"

"Yeah, I definitely know," Julie replied knowingly. "I'm trying to appreciate my alone-time as much as possible these days, because once the baby's born I'll be saying goodbye to it forever." She laughed to show she was joking, even though it was kind of true. But she didn't think she'd mind too much. Sure, alone-time was nice, but having a baby around would be fun...and a lot of work. But still fun...right?

Leif laughed along with her, but he also knew that it was sort of true. She wouldn't get away from the kid for a good sixteen or seventeen years, and then she would probably worry about the kid for...well, forever.

But he wasn't gonna bring that up.

"Well if you ever wanna get away and need a babysitter, you can drop of your kid and I can watch 'em, since I'm already watching Skye. Skye likes little kids...just not kids her own age."

"Wow, thanks," Julie replied gratefully. Of course with her parents, Kaiden, Kaiden's parents, Keiran and herself, the baby already had pretty much round the clock care. But on the off chance that every single one of those clio were busy, she would definitely take Leif up on his offer. "You know, I really appreciate all the support you're giving me, Leif. It's like, I just met you like a month ago, and I already feel like we're really close."

Leif almost blushed a little, but he held it back or something. "Well that's what friends are here for," he said with a nod. "Support, encouragement. Someday I'll have to knock some sense into you when you do something stupid. When I make a friend, I don't make 'em an acquaintance, I make 'em a friend."

"Knock some sense into me when I do something stupid?" Julie repeated with a wry smile. "Where were you when I first got knocked up? I couldn't used someone knocking some sense into me right around then." She took another bite of her cookie. She then broke an unbitten piece off and held it out to Leif. "Wan' some?" she asked with her mouth full.

Leif laughed a bit. "I wouldn't have helped much with that, honestly. I would've just said something along the lines of, 'Whatever you want, Julie. Whatever makes you happiest. You can have babies later in life, but you'll never forget this one, whether you know it or not.' I would have just made things ten times more complicated." He accepted the cookie. "Thanks. But really," he said, putting the cookie in his mouth and continuing, "you prolly wouldn' hab wanted me dere wid you."

Julie laughed. Leif was really cute the way he was talking with his mouth full. Some clio would have looked disgusting doing that. But Leif was adorable. "I don't think it would have been possible to make things any more complicated than they were," she told him. "Still, at the very least, I'm really glad you're here now."

Leif smiled, more crummies falling out of his mouth. "Piece of crab," he said, finally chewing it up and swallowing it so he didn't sound and look retarded anymore. "Sorry," he said, wiping himself off. "But yeah, I'm glad I'm here too. I like helping people, 'specially when they appreciate it."

"You have no idea how much I appreciate it," Julie told him. "I really needed a friend, and you came along, and...Thanks." She smiled.

"Anytime." He glanced up at the clock, noticing that it was getting to be a lot later than he thought. He hadn't expected to run into anyone, so he was thinking he'd been done a lot quicker. "But hey, I have to get home soon. I told Skye I'd be back by...three minutes ago." He scarfed down another bite of his sandwich.
